REV. CURTIS RUSSELL MOORE, SR.

Curtis Russell Moore was born January 7, 1953, the fourth child of the late Mary Frances and Felton John Moore. In 1970, hegraduated from Benjamin Franklin High School for Boys in Philadelphia. Curtis was a high school soccer player. He loved sports and majored in art; his God given talent.

During his early years he was the President of Original Club Soul Post "2" with childhood friends enjoying life travels from Boys to Men.

A beautiful winter day, February 14, 1976, Curtis married the love of his life, Sharon Jarman. From this union, two sons were born, Curtis Russell, Curtis Russell II (Damia) and Chike. Curtis introduced his sons to Christ at an early age, with bible study, wisdom, and love knowing God is the author and finisher of all.

Curtis love helping others, he was a mentor and worked as a youth advisor helping young boys have a positive focus on Life. He was a Teamster Union member Local 115 in which he ran for office.

Curtis was loved at Maplewood Nursing Home until his retirement.
 
A fall blessed day Curtis received his Ministor License at Mount Airy Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Bishop Ernest C. Morris, Sr.

He rejoices in his departure to join his mother, father and sister in Heaven.
And a lovely earthly goodbye to his family: Sons, Curtis Russell II (Damia) and Chike; Grandchildren, Paige, Curtis III, Love; Sisters: Annamae Conyers, S.C., Antoinette, Cynthia, Senoma (deceased); Brothers: John Albert (Aletha), Kevin; Devoted Friend: Reginald Dawkins and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
