CLIFTON LOWERY
2014 Golden Heart Award Winner
For twenty-three years, Clifton Lowery was employed by the Philadelphia Police Department – fifteen years of which were as a homicide detective. A steadfast member of the Citizens Advisory Council for Probation and Parole in Philadelphia, he has been critical to this group’s efforts to fulfill its mission to improve the probation and parole experience for those involved with or impacted by that system.
Once retired, he joined and later became President of the Sentinels of Law Enforcement (SOLE), which consists of retired law enforcement officers from city, state, and federal agencies. The organization is dedicated to community service and bridging the gap between law enforcement and the community.
Clifton Lowery has dedicated his life and shared his family with the communities of Philadelphia – and used his considerable time, treasures, and talents to serve others.
