HONOREE: SAILAJA ADLURU

Sailaja Adluru is a versatile leader who has served the community for many years. She was born in a small village in India. After completing nursing school in India, Sailaja moved to Jamaica to work as a cardiothoracic nurse at the University of West Indies Hospital in Kingston. After three years Ms. Adluru immigrated to the United States where she ran a home healthcare company. She currently displays her business savvy as a partner in a software business. 

Ms. Adluru’s involvement in community service began seven years ago. Since then she has become an outstanding, dynamic leader, mentor and role model.  Currently she is President of the local Telugu Association which is the oldest and the largest in the northeast USA serving the Indian-American community throughout the Delaware Valley.

She is a highly dedicated leader with a strong commitment to serve people with zeal and enthusiasm.  Her contributions towards a strong, unified and prosperous Asian-Indian community will be remembered for a long time to come

Sailaja and her physician husband live in Royersford with their two children ages 14 and 10.
