WENDY QUARLESMy work and passion is working with individuals who have been diagnosed with Autism and mental /physical health disabilities. I have been working as a Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) for 12 years. I've always been a helper. When I began to recognize the stigma axround mental illness and the lack of programing and resources for this population, I became even more motivated to make a difference. I have worked in the mental health in many capacities: community-based programs, hospital settings and private in-home services. I am honored to have been chosen by my peers to receive this award
