2024 Golden Heart Award Winner

REVA MINDEL

I am very honored to be getting this very special award. I know my mom is looking down on me getting this award and very proud that I am kind of following in her footsteps and her passing is one of the many reasons I want to be in the field of psychology. A few other reasons I want to be a behavioral health technician and at the end be a school psychologist is because of my brother with cerebral palsy and friends with Autism and other disabilities. Before Covid and after Covid I am really involved with a few different special needs activities like basketball, STARS Bowling, Athletes helping Athletes and a number of other organizations. When Covid started I know I really wanted to be a school psychologist in 2020, during Covid I was able to make sure my brother and his friends talked via zoom since they don’t like change and Covid made it a big change when people couldn’t see each other which was very hard on them until I started this. I am a current college graduate that got a job as a behavioral health technician and I love it, thanks to the help from Jana. This is a great tribute to my mom and Caren wilder who were great teachers and I had some great mentors from Holy Family University. Thanks!
