David "Diamond" Mauriello

David Mauriello, Director of March Against Monsanto Philadelphia and Co-Founder of Growing Home  has been working as an activist and organizer  for over a decade with numerous progressive groups on pressing humanitarian and environmental issues, such as, Planned Parenthood the ACLU, NRDC and Clean Water Action.

He received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Geology from Temple University where he was also adjunct faculty from 1993-1996. His direct involvement with grassroots non-profit start-up endeavors has allowed him to contribute at the level of Chairman and Director on numerous successful projects.

He is currently focusing his organizing expertise on Growing Home, a project that arose out of necessity, to combat the current vacant lot dilemma the city of Philadelphia is facing.
