John F. Walko has proudly served Montgomery County
as an Assistant District Attorney for over three years.
After obtaining experience in the Pre-trials and Juvenile Units, John was assigned to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office Major Crimes Unit in the Spring of 2009. John’s caseload consists of homicides, robberies, thefts, burglaries and assault crimes plus economic crimes including access device fraud, identity theft, embezzlement, and forgery crimes.
Through his hundreds of prosecutions, ADA Walko has secured over $1.82 million in restitution orders for crime victims and has ensured that criminal defendants have been ordered to perform over 7,300 hours of community service. John also co-chairs the District Attorney’s Office Internship Program and is a frequent presenter on crime prevention throughout Montgomery County.
John presently serves on the Board of Advisors for the Montgomery County Child Advocacy Program and is a Corporation Member for the Academy of the New Church. John received his bachelor’s degree from West Virginia University (’02), his associates and masters degrees from Bryn Athyn College (‘00/’03), and his juris doctorate degree from the Villanova University School of Law (’07). Originally a native of Western Pennsylvania, John and his wife currently live in Abington.
