HONOREE: DIANE B. MORGAN

Diane B. Morgan, Controller of Montgomery County, is
a professional businesswoman and environmental activist. As Founder & CEO of DM&A, a rehabilitation agency, she was responsible for all facets of business including financial reporting and annual audits for eighteen years. She has worked to find viable solutions for the BoRit Asbestos site in Ambler since 2004 and is a founding member of the BoRit Community Advisory Group.

As the first female elected Controller, she supervises five departments: accounting, accounts payable, audit, payroll, & retirement. She has saved taxpayers millions of dollars by identifying accounting errors in the Employees Retirement Fund. She also demanded all County contracts be sent to her office for accountability and transparency to the public. Morgan brought in 21st century technology and developed more efficient processes in her office. She is an independent-minded Controller dedicated to protecting taxpayer money.
