16th Annual Golden Heart Banquet Honoring "Unsung Heroes" • August 6, 2011

HONOREE: MICHAEL LeFEVRE

Michael LeFevre was appointed as Abington Township Manager in January of this year. He has spent his entire professional career working in local government, having served as Township Manager of Springfield Township (Delaware County) for 27 years, 2 years as Springfield’s Health Officer and 6 years as a Health/Housing Inspector for Upper Darby Township.

Michael received his B.A. degree from Villanova University, a M.S. degree from West Chester State University and a MBA degree from St. Joseph’s university. He is currently a member of the International City-County Management Association, the Association of Pennsylvania Municipal Management and the Montgomery County Consortium of Communities.

Regardless of the municipality or position, Michael has worked tirelessly to ensure the residential character of the community is protected, as is the quality of life issues of its citizens.

Married with two children, Michael enjoys golf, distance running and travel in his spare time.
