Officer Jennifer Doyle is a sworn Police Officer in the Abington, PA Police Department which is ranked one of the top Police Departments in the country (under Chief of Police and previous Golden Heart Award Winner William J. Kelly).
Jennifer is a graduate of the Carylton, PA High School (Pittsburgh Area), Delaware Co. Community College (Associates Degree-Administration of Justice), Deputy Sheriff’s Training Academy (Recognized as the Overall Best Student in her Class!) and the Municipal Police Officer Training Academy.
While employed as a Deputy Sheriff in the Centre County Sheriff’s Office, She became the first School Resource Officer (SRO) in the history of the office.
After joining the Abington Police Department, Jennifer became a D.A.R.E. Officer (since 2008) teaching at the Our Lady Help of Christians and McKinley Elementary Schools. She is also a member of the Abington Police Honor Guard Unit and a Field Training Officer.
Officer Doyle responded to a stabbing in which the victim was stabbed more than twenty times. She assisted the victim with first aid and remained with her until she arrived at Abington Memorial Hospital. The stabbing victim survived. Jennifer and four fellow Officers were also involved in the apprehension of a suspect who was targeting individuals of Asian descent to rob at gun point. This apprehension by Jennifer and four fellow Officers resulted in the conviction of the suspect thus restoring safety to our neighborhoods.
Officer Doyle performed CPR on a young male child at the residence of the child’s baby sitter as well as en route to Abington Memorial Hospital. She has also been involved in some vehicle pursuits.
When Jennifer is not protecting our Community as a Police Officer, she likes to long distance run, is a cyclist, adventure racer, has competed in the Pittsburgh Marathon, numerous 5k and 10k marathons. Jennifer has also competed as a cyclist in the Tour De Shore and the MS75. As an adventure racer, she completed the MS mud run 10k, the Warrior Dash and the Tough Mudder. When not racing, she enjoys relaxing at home and training her dog Reilly.
