Marisa Weiss, M.D. is the founder, president and guiding force behind Breastcancer.org, the world’s most trafficked online resource for medically-reviewed breast health and breast cancer information, reaching over 8 million visitors per year. A breast cancer oncologist with twenty years of active practice in the Philadelphia region, she is regarded as a visionary advocate for her innovative and steadfast approach to informing, empowering, and treating patients with breast cancer. Dr. Weiss’ book, Taking Care of Your “Girls”: A Breast Health Guide for Girls, Teens and In-Betweens, is co-authored with her daughter, Isabel Friedman. She also co-authored the highly acclaimed book Living Beyond Breast Cancer with her mother, Ellen Weiss. Her book, 7 Minutes!: How to Get the Most from Your Doctor Visit, was published in 2007.
