DAN MOSER

C.Daniel Moser, Ph.D. has a lifetime of community service through academic education and mentoring and hospitality towards the homeless and those in a transitional stage of their lives. From graduate school at Temple University in Exercise Physiology (PhD 1991), to Frankfurt School of Nursing to Outstanding Teacher (2008, 2013) at Manor College, and the last 10 years at Temple University, Dan has mentored, encouraged, and directed students who are now working in cardiac rehab, and as physical therapists, athletic trainers, physicians, dietitians, nurses, and occupational therapists among other careers. His warm encouraging manner and come alongside care for students have given them the tools and education to succeed.

He has a passion for fitness and has taught nutrition and weight loss and provided back exercises to many allowing them to get back to an active lifestyle. His humble manner has allowed him to welcome many into his home over the years and he has provided 29 years of pastoral care and leadership at the Living Word Community church, particularly to those that are unhoused, facing food and shelter insecurity and addiction issues.

Over the years he has seen many men and women connect with community programs and find housing, healthy living and spiritual purpose. He always has time to listen to the stories of those who come and utilizes their talents in serving others as well. He has mobilized volunteers from many churches and community organizations to support this work.

He is married to Donna Moser (36 years), and enjoys their 5 children and 3 grandchildren, brisk neighborhood walks (10,000 steps/day) and standing on his head or beating the fitness level of most of his students. He leads by example and one we should follow.
