Carl D. Wade, Jr.

Born in 1942 in Frostburg, MD, Carl Wade joined the Navy in 1964. He served on submarines for seven years then was stationed in Italy until his honorable discharge in 1971. He worked on the Trident Submarine Project in Mechanicsburg, PA then moved to Philadelphia to in 1990 to work on the F-18 Aircraft Project until his retirement in 2009. 

Mr. Wade became a Freemason in 1990 in Carlisle, PA and joined the Friendship-Williams Lodge after his transfer to Philadelphia. He was Worshipful Master in 2003 and took over as Secretary in 2004.  Carl received the Mason of the Year and John Wanamaker Awards from his Lodge. He was President of the Jenkintown Masonic School of Instruction for nine years. He is actively involved in Abington Chapter No. 245, Philadelphia Council No. 11 and is presently Commander of the Legion of Honor, a veterans group, affiliated with LuLu Shrine. 
 
Carl has been married to Viola for forty-one years. They have a son, Carl, and a grandson, Vincent.
